    Types of Hair loss

    Androgenetic Alopecia : It is caused due to hormone DHT (di hydro testosterone hormone).In some people the hair follicles become sensitive to DHT and causes the hair follicle to shrink. As a result the hair becomes thin and fine. It is seen in males and females and known as Male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness.

  • Male pattern baldness : Receding hairline at the temples and balding at the vertex is seen in males. It is the most common cause of hair loss in males.
  • Female pattern baldness : There is diffuse thinning of hair in women all over the head, but the frontal hairline is maintained There is no recession of hairline.
